News From the Ladies of PPCC - 9/7/23
This week was "Play the Par 4's only".
Congrats to Gross Score winner Cheryl LeBlanc with a score of 39, and #2 , Liz Fothergill with a 42.
Net score winner was Pat Martin with a score of 30, and #2 was Sally Leonard with a 31 (match of cards due to 3 players having a 31)
Next Wednesday, September 13 will be the last night of League Play and the End of Season Banquet will be Wednesday September 20. Sign up sheets for both are on the bulletin board outside of the Pro Shop.
Congratulations to the 2023 Club Champion - Kristen Johnson.
First Flight winner was Liz Fothergill. Congrats Liz.
Championship Flight Consolation round winner was Sarah Laderoute and First Flight Consolation winner was Pat Martin.
Thank you to all the members who participated. It was a beautiful weekend but the heat, and at times, slow play, made it difficult and challenging to play this (crazy) game of golf!! KUDOS to you all---- players and caddies!!!
Turkey Trot
We currently have only 6 teams signed up for the Turkey Trot Tournament on Saturday, September 6, 2023. The Registration form can be found in the locker room and on the Website. Twelve teams are required for the tournament to take place. The deadline to sign-up is Wed. September 13. Spread the word.
Emails have been sent to local golf courses also to extend the invitation to their women members.
For anyone who was not at the Ladies Night when it was announced, both Linda and Gina will not be continuing with the WSC into the 2024 season.
Linda has served on the committee for 4 years. She has been the point person for the past 2-3 years for keeping contact lists up-to -date, typing the schedules and all our registration forms, among many other duties.
Gina has served for 2 years, but for personal reasons can not commit to the 3rd year. Thank you all for understanding.
Later this year, be on the look-out for an email regarding applying for the WSC positions.
