News From the Ladies of PPCC - 9/23/23 - Year End Recap

Happy Fall!!.....Emoji.png    (Did I just say that ?)

Hard to believe that another summer has passed and we are now heading into Fall.  We are looking forward to the Turkey Trot next weekend.  Let's hope for good weather and good ? golf.

Again, Thank you  to all the women members for your support and participation this past season and to all the members who volunteered their time to assist with tournament functions.

We had a good turn out for the end of season banquet on Wednesday night, 9/20, and enjoyed Pizza ( made at Redfield's) and salad, cocktails, and good conversation.  Thank you Becky and all the Redfield's staff for your hard work this season.

Click here to view the 2023 PPCC WSC Recap of tournament results, Ringers, Birdies, etc and click here to view the brief financial report that was discussed, for any interested members who were unable to attend on Wednesday.  Much discussion centered around finances, increasing participation among the women members, and sponsorship. It was also brought up to start the "Chip in for Charity" again.  Note:  The brief financial report is just an overview and does not include The Turkey Trot tournament and other expenditures.

Every year a local charity is chosen to receive a donation from us. This year the members voted to donate $250 to the NewStory Center. This is the house on Grove Street that is undergoing renovation. The New Story Center assists victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Their website is nscvt.org.  There is a donation area on the site, so if there are no objections, I will do an online donation.

There will be 2 vacancies on the Women's Sports Committee at the end of this season. A notice will be emailed in the near future for any interested parties as to who to submit your letter of interest to.

A sign up sheet was circulated at the meeting for members to sign up to provide morning ( muffins, coffee cake, Danish) and dessert items for the Turkey Trot next weekend.  The list should be posted on the bulletin board outside the Pro Shop.

Some folks are playing "4 Club" on Wednesday 9/27. If you want to play, the start time is 4:00 pm.

Good Luck and Have an enjoyable day to the 5 ladies playing in the VSWGA Mid-Amateur Tournament this weekend at Neshobe Golf Club. JoJo Valente, Liz Fothergill, Charlotte Tuttle, Heather Grier, and  Lucille Paquette. They are very excited to actually have a team this year!!Emoji.pngEmoji.pngEmoji.png
